The Events Manager is responsible for leading banquet operations with a strong focus on Guest experience, team leadership, service standards, operational efficiency, and event execution. This individual will work closely with Culinary, Events Programming, Restaurant Operations, and Leadership teams to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional hospitality delivery. The ideal candidate is highly organized, calm under pressure, passionate about hospitality, and experienced in managing high-volume luxury or upscale event operations. Responsibilities for this position will include: Event & Banquet Operations · Lead and oversee all events, socials and weddings and event service operations from setup through execution and breakdown · Ensure all functions are executed according to event orders, timelines, and service standards · Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate event expectations clearly to service teams · Coordinate with Culinary, Events Programming, Audio Visual, and Operations departments to ensure flawless execution · Monitor event flow and proactively resolve Guest concerns or operational issues · Ensure banquet spaces are maintained to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards · Oversee room flips, outdoor event execution, wedding ceremonies, cocktail receptions, and plated/buffet service Leadership & Team Development · Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise event service staff · Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture · Support employee development through coaching and performance feedback · Ensure service staff uphold hospitality, grooming, and professional conduct standards · Assist in scheduling labour according to business volumes and event requirements Guest Experience · Deliver exceptional Guest service with a focus on professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail · Act as a primary floor presence during events to ensure Guest satisfaction · Build strong relationships with wedding clients, tournament organizers, corporate groups, and corporate partners. · Handle Guest feedback and service recovery professionally and efficiently Financial & Administrative Responsibilities · Assist in managing event labour costs and operational efficiencies · Support inventory management, equipment control, and banquet supply organization · Review event orders and ensure accurate operational preparation · Assist in achieving departmental service, labour, and financial goals · Ensure compliance with all health & safety, liquor, and company policies Qualifications & Experience: · Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Banquet Manager, Event Operations Manager, or senior hospitality leadership role · Experience in golf club, luxury hotel, resort, or upscale event operations preferred · Strong knowledge of banquet service styles including plated, buffet, cocktail, and family-style service · Proven ability to lead large teams in fast-paced environments · Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills · Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure · Smart Serve Certification required · Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications · Diploma or degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management or related field · Experience with weddings, corporate events, and golf tournament operations · Smart Serve Certification · Knowledge of luxury service standards and premium Guest experiences Expected Start Date: June 2026 Job Type: Full-time position available Compensation: $75K-$85K + discretionary bonus Job Status: New Role Only candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
