Heavy Equipment Operator (Caledon), Dufferin County (Shelburne)

Job Description

We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator with experience operating in a safe and productive manner. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, compaction equipment, loaders, dozers, excavators and rock trucks. Occasionally may operate small tools such as water pumps, plate tampers, jumping jacks and generators. Must be able to professionally deal with fellow employees, superiors, clients/residents&members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner. Transportation to and from construction sites throughout the GTA&York Region is the employee’s responsibility. Must be prepared and clothed to work in all variations of weather. Able to work long and flexible work hours during the height of construction season, including weekends. Qualifications

Valid“G” driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract High school education or equivalent 3 years+ experience with Earthworks is considered an asset Must have experience operating heavy equipment Strong problem solving skills Exhibits strong teamwork, verbal and written skills Ability to work safely in a fast pace environmentAbility to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team Demonstrates superior time management skills Must speak fluent English Must have a valuable safety record and the highest degree of dependability Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the role (heavy lifting, bending, climbing, working at heights)Must be able to work long days, flexible work hours&weekends Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay
