Why join Master Mechanic? - Competitive wages, ranging from $22 to 40 (based on experience) - Full-time, permanent (up to 50hr/week), mix of week days and no weekends! - Opportunity for overtime - Benefits package (dental, health) - Vacation offered - On-site parking - Accessible by bus - Uniform provided - Ongoing training and development - Close knit team, with various team outings and celebrations of milestones - Safety focused facilities - Opportunity to for advancement throughout 38 franchise locations What would your day look like as a Registered Automotive Apprentice? - Working under the shop manager, alongside licensed mechanics you will assist in maintenance and inspection of client vehicles - Test drive and perform a visual inspection of the customer’s vehicles prior to repair in order to diagnose needs - Mount, dismount, and balance tires, as well as installing tires on rims - Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe, and clean work workplace - Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles - Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment - Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service - Plan repair procedures using charts, manuals and experience - Test the functionality of parts and systems - Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation Who is our ideal candidate? - Must hold a valid driver’s license - 1+ years of experience in the automotive industry - Must be a registered automotive apprentice technician (310S or 310T equivalent) - Enjoys interacting with customers and working in a team environment - Takes pride in workmanship and eager to learn and advance your skills - Punctual, professional with great customer service experience - Ability to operate diagnostic tools required - Must have own tools Safety Protocols - The safety of our staff and customers is of utmost importance.
