Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Manager, Transportation Engineering, this role is responsible for the delivery of transportation planning projects, including master plans and transportation studies, in support of the Town’s Official Plan and secondary plans. The role also leads and manages Municipal Class Environmental Assessments (EAs), feasibility studies, and preliminary designs for transportation infrastructure projects, as well as reviews third‑party transportation plans and studies to ensure alignment withTown policies, standards, and future growth needs.Responsibilities
Lead and project‑manage transportation master plans, environmental assessments, feasibility studies, and operational analysis Plan, organize, and facilitate public consultation and engagement activities, including public information centres (PICs) Provide input and guidance on long‑range planning initiativessuch as the Official Plan, secondary plans, and development applicationsReview transportation‑related studies and technical reports from developers and agencies to ensure compliance and integration with Town policies Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to advance transportation projects and initiativesCandidate Profile
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented professional with a post‑secondary degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning/Engineering, Urban or Regional Planning, or a closely related field. Ideally, the candidate has 5 to 7 years of progressive transportation planning and infrastructure experience and is licensed as aProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or holds a Registered Qualified Planner (RPP) designation. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of transportation planning principles, environmental assessments, and municipal development processes. The role requires superior organizational and project‑management skills, strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, and excellent written, oral, and presentation abilities.Work Conditions
This position requires a flexible schedule, including work in the office, remotely, and after hours as needed. Compensation
Salary range: $106,444.72 to $133,055.90 plus a competitive benefit package. Eligibility Requirements
