Metal Fabrication Shop & Field Assistant (Palgrave)

Concise Custom Metal Works Inc. Palgrave, ON (Shop in Palgrave with job sites across Toronto & the GTA) Full-Time | $22–$26/hour Concise Custom Metal Works Inc. is looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Metal Fabrication Shop & Field Assistant. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is interested in learning the metal fabrication and welding trade while gaining experience both in the shop and on job sites. Responsibilities - Pick up and deliver materials and completed projects to job sites - Load and unload steel and fabricated components - Assist welders and fabricators in the shop - Support installation work on job sites across the GTA - Maintain shop cleanliness and organization - Operate basic hand tools and power tools - Assist with general shop and field tasks as needed Required Qualifications - Valid Ontario driver’s license (clean abstract required) - Experience driving work vehicles (commercial driving experience an asset) - Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs - Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused - Strong work ethic and willingness to learn - Interest in welding or metal fabrication strongly preferred Assets (Not Required) - Forklift experience - Basic welding experience - Construction site experience - DZ license Compensation - $22–$26 per hour, based on experience and skills - Overtime pay after 44 hours/week What We Offer - Prospect to learn fabrication and welding skills - Room for advancement within the company - Steady, year-round work - Supportive team environment - Growth potential for individuals interested in building a long-term career in the trades Schedule - 32-40 hours per week, Monday–Friday - Must be able to work nights (with advance notice) - Occasional weekend work when necessary (with advance notice) Work Location - Shop located in Palgrave, ON - Travel to job sites across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area How to Apply Interested candidates can apply through Indeed.
