Cannex Contracting 2000 Inc. is currently hiring the following position(s) Safety Officer Cannex Contracting 2000 Inc. – Calgary, AB Job Description We are looking to fill the Safety Officer position with a skilled professional with experience in Construction. The candidate must be a Peer Auditor. And it would be considered an asset if the applicant was NSCO or NHSA certified Duties Include; - Performing safety meetings, orientations, and safety training when required - Prompt creation of multiple jobsite safety plans and conduct Tailgate meetings - Work alongside our Superintendent, Management, and Foremen to continuously improve our safety procedures, perform corrective actions when required, and foster a positive safety culture - Have a thorough understanding of the OH&S; requirements - Staying on top of safety monitoring on multiple sites. With a focus on creating solid relationships with all members of our association - Conduct internal auditing and prepare for external audits (External is Fall 2027) - Learn and perform additional tasks as required. This includes but is not limited to performing Utility Locates, Permitting, etc - Facilitate WCB claims and process any incident reports (property damage, etc) - Creation and collection of various documentation Qualifications: - Peer Auditor (Required) - Previous experience in similar role as this position. - Familiarity with OSHA regulations. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize. - Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). - Strong Computer Skills - Drivers License with clean abstract (Required) Job Type: Full-time Benefits: - Dental care Flexible language requirement: - French not required Ability to commute/relocate: - Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ogo4v
