Logistics /Purchaser (Northeast Calgary)

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated Purchaser/Logistics to manage the procurement of goods and materials for our company. In addition to handling purchasing responsibilities, the role also involves coordinating the receipt of deliveries and ensuring products arrive on time and in valuable condition. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners. Duties-Purchasing - Research and identify reliable suppliers and vendors to meet the company’s needs. - Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring they align with budget and quality requirements. - Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and other contract details to secure the best value for the company. - Maintain accurate records of orders, suppliers, and inventory levels. - Coordinate with the receiving team to ensure timely and accurate receipt of purchased goods. - Verify that items received match the purchase order in terms of quantity and quality. - Inspect incoming goods for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to the supplier. - Track stock levels to identify when reorders are needed and avoid stockouts or excess inventory. - Maintain detailed records of all purchase orders, deliveries, and received goods. - Work closely with other departments, such as sales, warehouse, and finance, to ensure smooth operations. Duties -Logistics - Review, organize, and manage deliveries system - Coordinate stock and deliveries between branches - Update and Manage logistics documentation - Order, organize and manage product, raw materials, and supplies - Assist in managing inventory daily, monthly and bi-annually - Organize and track packing slips manually and digitally - Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving - Bookkeeping entries (A/R) - Managing bills and receipts Qualifications - Knowledge and Experience in Supply Chain Management, ERP systems, Quickbooks Online - Experienced managing and maintaining filing systems - Working well with others - Very professional and effective communication skills - Strong mathematical skills - Experienced Data Entry using Microsoft Office 365, Bookkeeping basics - Ability to adapt easily and adopt changes in procedures and systems management - Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing or supply chain environment. - Robust negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively. - Familiarity with vendor management practices and relationship-building techniques. - Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practices. - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data management. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environme Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Flexible language requirement: - French not required Experience: - Purchasing: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ol8rt
