Computer Network and Systems Technician (Calgary)

Company Profile: Atlas Trailer Coach Products is seeking a Computer Network and Systems Technician to manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable system performance, network security, and ongoing technical support across multiple business locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing network operations, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting internal users and business-critical applications. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls Administer and support Windows Server environments, email systems (Exchange), and remote access systems Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure reliability and efficiency Manage user access, permissions, and system security protocols Perform data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning Support and troubleshoot ERP systems, databases, and internal business applications Coordinate with external IT vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and support services Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and asset management records Provide technical support to internal users and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards Employment requirements: Completion of a college diploma or university degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field Minimum 3–5 years of experience in network administration or IT systems support Experience with Windows Server environments Experience managing network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls) Experience supporting databases (e.g., SQL or similar) Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS or similar) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills in English Experience with ERP systems and web-based platforms Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, cloud storage, or web technologies (HTML/CSS, etc.) Experience working with multi-location business operations Your Skills: Self-motivated, pro-active, energetic and flexible Exceptional reasoning, analysis and problem-solving skills, able to back ideas with focused follow through Ability to work effectively, adjust priorities, and adapt to changing situations when priorities and scope conflict Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the skills of a strong team player Detail oriented with ability to work well under pressure Excellent customer and vendor service skills Fluent in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
