Senior Oracle Database Administrator - MS SQL Server (Calgary)

Job Description Job Title: Database Administrator (Oracle + SQL) Location: Calgary, AB Work Style: Onsite 5 days per week (possibility of 4 days onsite / 1 day remote) Skills Database Administration (DBMS) IT IS_AMS_Database_MS SQL Server Oracle + SQL Experience Required: 810 years Role Description Core Database Administration Experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle Database Administration. Strong troubleshooting skills, SQL database optimization, and problemsolving. Experience with Relational Database Management Systems and concepts. High Availability & Clustering High Availability Failover Clusters, Always On Availability Groups, and replication. Ability to deploy and troubleshoot SQL Server Failover Cluster Instances and SQL High Availability Instances. SQL Server Technologies Experience with SSRS and SSIS packages. MSSQL Server performance: CPU, memory, high usage, database maintenance, query performance. Knowledge of backup and restore operations, including Azure Blob Storage. Experience with database migration, installation, and upgrades. Azure & Cloud Experience with Azure SQL PaaS. Experience with MS SQL and Oracle databases in Azure Cloud. Knowledge of Windows Server Cluster Services in Azure and OnPrem environments. Basic Power Shell scripting. Oracle Expertise Indepth knowledge of Oracle 12c and 19c and highavailability architectures. Working knowledge of disaster recovery architectures, specifically Data Guard. Experience building and maintaining environments. RMAN Backup and Recovery, Golden Gate replication. Robust understanding of performance tuning methodologies. Platforms & Security Knowledge of Unix/Linux platforms, operating systems, scripting, and editors. Working knowledge of database security implementations and data privacy.
