Senior Electrical Designer - Agilus Work Solutions (Calgary)

Overview Our oil and gas producer client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Designer to support a major capital project. This contract opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in large-scale industrial environments, particularly within oil & gas or heavy industry. Key Responsibilities - Develop detailed electrical design deliverables for complex projects - Produce and review layouts, schematics, and 3D models using MicroStation and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, construction, and project management - Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications - Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into final deliverables - Support project execution from design through construction phases Qualifications & Experience - 10+ years of electrical design experience, ideally in oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors - Demonstrated experience working on major/large-scale projects - Strong proficiency in: MicroStation and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) - Experience working within established client standards and specifications is an asset - Robust understanding of electrical design principles, codes, and industry best practices - Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Additional Requirements: - Must be based in or able to work in Calgary - Open to attending in-person interviews Compensation: - Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience Why Apply: This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and work alongside a strong, collaborative technical team in a dynamic environment.
