Interior Designer Southeast Calgary

We're looking for someone who has done real work in this industry, cares deeply about the craft, and is ready to bring that into an environment where the details actually matter. Datum Homes builds high-end custom homes. Our design work reflects that standard, and we're growing our team with a designer who has some experience under their belt and a genuine point of view to go with it. What we're actually hiring for Taste. Drive. Real-world experience at an architectural firm, design studio, or custom builder — not because a degree or title matters to us, but because we want someone who has navigated actual projects and knows what that work feels like. Two years of solid, meaningful experience is enough. What matters more is the quality of what you've done and how you think about design. What you'll be working on This is a multi-faceted role. You'll be involved in design work — lookbooks, selection sheets, renderings, client-facing presentations, drafting and 3D modeling — but also in procurement coordination, project support, and budgeting as needs arise. We're a small, focused team and everyone wears a few hats. That's what keeps the work compelling. You won't be thrown in the deep end. We expect a ramp-up period and we'll support you through it. What we do expect from day one is reliability, a positive attitude, and genuine eagerness to learn how we operate. What we're looking for Fluency in at least one skilled design or 3D tool — SketchUp preferably, but Revit, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar all count. We care that you've worked seriously in this space, not that you know our exact stack. Someone personable and resourceful — comfortable talking to suppliers, hunting down the right materials, and figuring things out independently when needed.
