Training counsellors in psychology, social work and marriage and family therapy within a thriving social enterprise structure. Counselling Alberta is looking for a full-time Video and Audio Producer to join our team. This position will play a critical role in supporting Counselling Alberta’s communications and marketing department province wide. We are looking for a skilled professional with a passion for communications and storytelling, experience in audio and video production, and an interest in helping raise the profile of CA while further engaging communities and stakeholders throughout Alberta. Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a creative professional to add to our growing team. You will be tasked with creating original multimedia content for web, social, and digital platforms, supporting organization-wide campaigns, and working with every team within Counselling Alberta to achieve our broader organizational goals. This role involves creating materials to market Counselling Alberta across the province to diverse audiences. The goal is to help prospective clients gain a better understanding of the agency’s services and their benefits. Audio and Video Production: - Edit, produce, and distribute episodes of “Living Fully”, our twice-monthly podcast. - Produce promotional clips and multimedia content for social media, websites, and digital campaigns. - Own multimedia projects from concept to delivery, including client stories, educational content, short-form social media clips, explainers, television advertisements, and promotional videos. - Capture and edit audio and video content. - Source and license stock video, audio, and photography assets as required. - Prepare multimedia files for production and distribution across platforms. - Improve accessibility of multimedia projects through closed captioning, subtitling, and accessible content practices. - Support the development and implementation of audio and video communication strategies. - Expand and enrich CA’s multimedia presence across web and social platforms. - Apply rigorous quality assurance processes to verify productions meet organizational standards and functionality requirements. - Effectively communicate the brand essence, strengthening CA’s image and reputation to internal and external audiences through multimedia communications. - Ensure the integrity and correct use of CA’s and Living Fully’s logos and other aspects of the visual identity in all applications. Team Integration: - Participate in creative development and research. - Collaborate with other in-house teams to ensure business goals and requirements are met. - Foster strong team integration throughout the organization. - Effectively communicate efforts and inspire brand support internally. - An ideal candidate will have cross-disciplinary skills. In addition to audio and video production, our communications team works with photography, social media, digital communications, and light graphic design. Qualifications: We encourage you to apply even if you are unsure whether you meet all these qualifications: - University degree or college diploma in video production, broadcasting, communications, digital media, or related field. - At least two (2) years’ experience in video and audio production in an agency, in-house, or broadcast environment. - Experience producing content for web and social media platforms. - Knowledge of video and audio editing techniques, production workflows, and digital distribution. - Experience with video capture, lighting, sound recording, and editing. - Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly Premiere Pro and Audition. - Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, or animation is considered an asset. - Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and/or tasks concurrently. - A reliable team member with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and ensuring project timelines are met promptly and efficiently. - Passionate about continuous improvement, eager to update skills, and committed to learning current techniques on an ongoing basis. - Creative and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Flexible attitude with proven experience of working independently and in a small team. - Attention to detail. - Comfort working collaboratively with counsellors, staff, and community stakeholders to develop meaningful content. - Must have working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, and Microsoft Office applications. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extension. Compensation is competitive and aligned with market rates in Calgary.
