Role Description This is a full-time, in office Elementary School Teacher role based in Calgary, AB. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning outcomes, integrating general studies with the school’s Jewish community values where appropriate. Daily responsibilities include managing a safe, inclusive classroom, differentiating instruction to meet wide-ranging learning needs, and providing timely feedback on student progress. Qualifications - Robust foundation in Teaching and Elementary Education, with experience creating engaging, student-centered learning environments. - Proficiency in Curriculum Development and Education practices, including lesson planning, assessment, and differentiation. - Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with students, families, and colleagues. - Recognized teaching certification and/or degree in Alberta Education. - Ability to foster an inclusive classroom that respects diverse backgrounds and learning needs. - Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. - Willingness to support the school’s mission and values within a Jewish community day school context; experience in Jewish education is an asset but not required. - Commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaborative teamwork.
