Preventive Maintenance Technician (Southeast Calgary)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, ensuring optimal operation, and minimizing downtime. This role requires strong technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC, and field service are highly encouraged to apply. Preventive Maintenance Technician · Regularly examine equipment, machinery and facility systems (HVAC and plumbing) for signs of wear and potential issues · Conduct scheduled maintenance for all equipment and machinery, including forklifts and delivery trucks · Promptly respond to maintenance or repair requests ensuring minimal disruptions to operations · Diagnose problems when equipment is malfunctioning and performing minor repairs and replacement of defective parts · Adhering to safety protocols and requirements, performing safety checks, and implementing procedures like lockout/tagout to create a safe workspace. · Maintain accurate logs and records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs and equipment performance data. · Maintain stock and maintenance supplies and complete regular inventories. · Coordinate with respective departments to ensure preventive maintenance procedures are properly followed and implemented. · Provide back-up in operating major production lines (Plasma, Coil, Spiral, Duct, Pipe) · Source parts and materials for machines and equipment · Conduct hazard assessments for newly acquired machines and for newly modified machines · Provide recommendations for repairs and maintenance to be provided by an external service provider · Provide basic preventive maintenance training to machine operators Skills and Qualifications: · Minimum 3 years solid experience in preventive maintenance; HVAC manufacturing facility experience an advantage · Ability to read, interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals · Confident, proactive approach to problem solving · Strong communication skills both verbal and written · Excellent time management skills; ability to work independently and with the team · Physically fit to lift heavy objects, maneuver machines and adaptable to various work environments Job Types: Full time, Permanent Benefits: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pdpdn
