Computer Science Teacher (Calgary)

Computer Science Teacher Position: Full‑time permanent Teacher for Grades 7‑12 at Rundle College. Capacity: 1 Position. Start date: August 20, 2026. Posting: Internal/External. Duties & Responsibilities - Teach Computer Science in Grades 10‑12. - Collaboratively lead Robotics within the co‑curricular program. - Foster classroom routines that increase and enhance student engagement. - Collaborate with the Computer Science team to elevate the curriculum and incorporate innovation. - Establish a warm, caring, and engaging learning environment where students feel protected, respected and valued. - Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a personalized learning experience for all students. - Communicate effectively with parents to provide ongoing feedback and support. - Participate in faculty and professional meetings, assemblies, and various professional development opportunities. - Attend events, report for supervision, and contribute to the co‑curricular offerings, as expected of a full‑time teacher at Rundle. - Other duties as assigned by the Principal. Knowledge, Skills & Technical Ability - Alberta Teaching Certification. - Completed police information check with vulnerable sector verification within the last 6 months. - Flexible, collaborative, and possessing a positive, growth mindset. - Confident user of technology, utilizing it in instructional practice. - Ability to develop strong partnerships with teachers, parents, and administration. - Demonstrated open mind and desire to improve practice through professional reading and/or participation in relevant professional development opportunities. - Previous experience working in an independent school is considered an asset. - Multiple teachable‑areas such as math and/or science is considered an asset.
