It is required for all jobs. and Responsibilities To lay out work, set up and operate machine tools, and perform any dismantling, fitting, or assembly work required for plant maintenance or construction. - Machine parts are produced to meet precision tolerances and specified finishes. Receives instructions, prints, and work orders - Interprets drawings and sketches, plans, and determines working procedures - Performs and lays out work and makes sketches of parts as required - Calculates dimensions, tapers, indices, and other data using shop formulas and handbooks as needed - Selects and grinds tools according to the hardness, machinability, and other properties of the parts to be machined - Procures or makes jigs, fixtures, or machine attachments required for the job - Set up and operate machine tools by adjusting the stops, feeds, and speeds for efficient machining - Machine parts to precision tolerances and specified finishes - Uses precision measuring instruments and dismantles machinery and equipment - Reconditions and makes welder contact tips and blocks - Performs occasional crane and hooking as required - "Alerts the relevant personnel to any procedural irregularities - Observes and follows all safety rules and regulations Requirements - Minimum 3 years of experience - Must have a Red Seal Journeyman ticket - Knowledge of mill operations Compensation $51.32 Our total compensation package includes amazing perks! - Competitive wages and bonus opportunities - Family medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee cost - Short and long-term disability programs - Competitive retirement plans - Employer-provided and Voluntary Life Insurance options - Paid vacation and recognized statutory holidays - Apprenticeship and career advancement within the company - Tuition reimbursement While we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered for employment will be contacted.
