Description
Location: Calgary, Alberta Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Work Arrangement: In office Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional after-hours support as required Our client, a well-established and growing organization operating across Canada and the United States, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join their team in Calgary. This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate to senior-level Accounts Payable professional who enjoys working independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle across multiple entities while supporting the finance and operations teams. Key Responsibilities - Manage full-cycle accounts payable for multiple Canadian and U.S. entities. - Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently. - Review, verify, process, and reconcile vendor invoices and payments. - Complete monthly credit card reconciliations. - Prepare monthly accrual entries and related documentation. - Reconcile processed transactions and investigate discrepancies. - Monitor outstanding vendor balances and ensure credits and credit memos are applied appropriately. - Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies. - Reconcile vendor statements and maintain strong vendor relationships. - Maintain organized electronic records of invoices, receipts, reports, and payment documentation. - Assist departments with equipment and product purchases while tracking related assets and expenditures. - Verify subcontractor hours, project billing, and bonus payments. - Collaborate with finance and operations teams to support business objectives. - Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as required. Qualifications - Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience. - Strong understanding of full-cycle Accounts Payable processes. - Experience with job costing is required. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. - Experience in the drilling, construction, industrial, or related sectors is considered a strong asset.
