Reach Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate (Calgary)

Full time: Monday-Friday 4:00 pm - 12:30 am Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment. The position requires a valid forklift licence and familiarity with warehouse management systems. Applicants should be comfortable with heavy lifting and possess basic maths skills to ensure accurate handling and documentation of goods. Duties - Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. - Manage inventory using warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels. - Assist with shipping and receiving procedures, including preparing goods for dispatch or receipt. - Perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain operational efficiency. - Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking and storage to optimise space utilisation. - Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. - Support the organisation of the warehouse by maintaining a clean and safe working workplace. - Assist with general warehouse duties such as packing, sorting, and organising stock. Experience - Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting is essential; certification/licence is required - Reach+Counterbalance. - Familiarity with warehouse management systems is highly desirable. - Previous experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, or related roles is advantageous. - Mechanical knowledge or ability to perform basic equipment repairs will be considered a plus. - Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate stock management. - Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods. - Basic maths skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation purposes. - Prior experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided where necessary.
