DynaScape Design Drafting Technician (Calgary)

Dynascape Drafting Technician (Contract) Hale Landscapes Inc. (HLI) – Calgary, AB Contract / Freelance Hale Landscapes Inc. (HLI) is a Calgary-based landscaping company specializing in high-end residential construction and full-service property maintenance. We are looking for a DynaScape Drafting Technician on a contract basis to work directly with our General Manager. This is a production-focused role, supporting the translation of design concepts into clean, detailed, and presentation-ready landscape drawings. This is not a design role — the successful candidate will take direction and concepts from General Manager and execute them accurately in DynaScape Design. Key Responsibilities - Translate RPRs, markups, photos, and verbal direction into detailed Dynascape Design drawings - Produce clean, scaled, and professional landscape renderings for client presentations - Draft layouts including hardscape, softscape, lighting, and key features - Apply proper layers, symbols, labeling, and dimensions - Revise drawings quickly and accurately based on feedback - Maintain consistency with HLI’s drawing standards and presentation quality Requirements - Strong, hands-on experience with DynaScape Design Software (mandatory) - Proven ability to produce high-quality technical drawings (not conceptual design) - Excellent attention to detail, scale, and layout accuracy - Ability to take direction and execute without needing to drive the design - Efficient workflow and ability to meet deadlines - Strong communication and responsiveness - Comfortable working from incomplete information and refining through iteration - Experience working with landscape construction companies is a robust asset Compensation - Contract-based (hourly or per project) - Ongoing work available based on performance and volume About HLI Founded in 2009, HLI has built a reputation for delivering high-quality landscape construction projects and reliable year-round maintenance services.
