Project Manager (Calgary)

About the role We’re looking for a lights-out project manager who thrives at the intersection of technology, construction, and client experience. You’ll own the full project lifecycle for AV, home automation, and lighting installations in high-end custom homes — from pre-construction coordination through final commissioning — keeping every job on time, on budget, and perfectly sequenced within the broader build schedule. You’re the person who sees around corners: anticipating what the electrician needs before they ask, and what the client wants before they know. This role demands someone who knows our products inside and out, communicates with precision across trades, and brings calm clarity to a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift by the hour. What you’ll own • End-to-end project management, from presale handoff through commissioning and client walkthrough. • Integration of AV, automation, and lighting scopes into the construction timeline, coordinating closely with builders, electricians, and other trades. • Scheduling, milestone tracking, and deadline management across multiple concurrent projects. • Clear, proactive communication with clients, general contractors, architects, designers, and the internal install team. • Identifying and resolving sequencing conflicts before they become costly delays or rework. • Documentation: scopes of work, drawings, change orders, equipment schedules, and punch lists. • Supporting the field team with product knowledge, rough-in guidance, and installation sequencing. What you bring • Proven project management experience in AV, home automation, or smart lighting. • Deep familiarity with custom home construction timelines and trade coordination. • Strong product knowledge across AV, control systems (e.g. URC, Elan/Nice, Lutron), and architectural lighting. • Exceptional organizational skills — nothing falls through the cracks. • A explicit, confident communicator who stays composed under pressure. • The ability to juggle multiple active projects without losing the details. • Self-directed, accountable, and biased toward action.
