Description
Location: 25 Aero Drive NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 8Z9 Salary Range: 80K-90K Responsibilities - Effectively plan, direct, and coordinate all warehouse and inventory control activities, including inbound and outbound product flow. - Delegate responsibilities to supervisors and team leads to achieve safe, productive and economical storage, handling, and distribution while meeting company profit and ROI goals. - Supervise and coordinate the inventory control department to ensure physical and system inventory accuracy; keep warehouse profiling up to date. - Lead all warehouse supervisors, team leads, and their teams; ensure regular supervisor reviews and support for safety, productivity and quality standards. - Utilize labor planning tools; plan person‑hour allocation, set production schedules, and establish work procedures. - Analyze and resolve work problems; recommend and implement process changes, equipment upgrades, and production method improvements. - Initiate personnel actions, maintain time and procedure records, oversee new employee and team‑lead training, evaluate performance, and recommend salary increases, promotions and transfers. - Ensure achievement of company KPI targets; provide timely updates to the Fulfillment Centre Manager when targets are not met. - Monitor order routing – printing, pulling, checking, and packing – in coordination with the Fulfillment Centre Manager for budgeting and guideline compliance. - Plan and monitor the department’s safety programs, ensuring all WSIB regulations are adhered to. - Coordinate warehouse activities with other functions (sales, purchasing, MIS, maintenance, and security) through daily interaction with Operations Management. - Manage a large staff of supervisors, team leads, pickers/order fillers, wrappers/packers, shippers, receivers, stockers and inventory control personnel. - Work flexible shifts; travel to other locations when required. Qualifications & Experience - University or post‑graduate education in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics or related field is an asset. - Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Supply Chain Management Skilled (SCMP) designation is an asset. - Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and leadership communication skills. - Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and time‑management skills. - Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing a large distribution facility, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience; inventory control experience required. - Equally acceptable combination of training, education and experience will be considered. - Good computer skills.
