Maintenance Worker, Qualico Properties (Calgary)

Job Overview Reporting to the Manager, Operations & Facilities,as the Maintenance Worker you are responsible for ensuring the maintenance needs assigned properties are met in an effective and effective manner. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Completing thorough daily inspections of properties, and addressing repairs or concerns in a timely manner. Handling tenant requests, including proper follow-up and maintenance checklists. Ensuring tenants needs are accommodated with excellent customer service in accordance with corporate quality standards and procedures. Conducting maintenance related duties, using all equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Overseeing and assisting external contractors on site as required. Ensuring cleanliness, maintenance and continuous improvement of properties interior and exterior, maintained to a high standard, including emptying litter receptacles and ashtrays, and removing snow or ice as required. Access to a reliable vehicle, class 5 drivers licence and satisfactory verification of drivers abstract. Minimum 1 year of related maintenance experience, preferably in commercial building operations. Comfortable using tools and equipment. Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
