Job Overview Diversified Staffing Services, Alberta's leading staffing agency is currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cooks for temporary opportunities. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and components for menu items, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols Support the kitchen team during busy periods by efficiently handling food prep tasks Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to maintain freshness and safety Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a protected working environment for all staff Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Robust teamwork skills and good communication abilities Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if necessary A positive attitude with a passion for the food industry and customer service excellence Need to Have Reliable transportation- not transit accessible Be available for the following shifts: Friday June 5th 9am - 5pm, 10am- 6pm or 2pm-10pm Saturday June 6th 9am - 5pm, 12pm - 8pm, 10am - 6pm or 2pm - 10pm This is a temporary opportunity and more shifts may come available throughout next week.
