Job Summary St. James Corner is seeking experienced, career minded and energetic prep cooks to join our growing team! Ideal candidates have a solid knowledge of food, customer service, have at least 2 years of prep experience in a fast-paced kitchen; have a solid attention to detail; and, most importantly, a sincere passion for providing guests with unforgettable dining experiences. Ensure proper food safety and handling procedures for guest safety. Assist with meal prep and ensure dishes are consistently cooked to perfection. Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Adhere to food industry regulations and guidelines. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed. Perform kitchen closing duties when required. Requirements: Open availability to work nights, mornings, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience as a prep cook or similar role in the food service industry. Previous experience making soups and sauces from scratch. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils. Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment with attention to detail. Team player with a positive attitude.
