Senior Salesforce Administrator and Developer (Calgary)

Senior Salesforce Administrator and Developer (Calgary)
Description
QuadReal Property Group is a global real estate investment, development, and operating company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Role Description We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Salesforce Administrator and Developer to join our Corporate Systems team. The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of business and platform, translating real estate operating needs into clean, scalable Salesforce solutions. You will spend as much time building and partnering with the business as you will administering the platform. Responsibilities Administer Salesforce Sales Cloud, including user management, security settings, profiles, permission sets, and sharing models. Configure, build, and optimize Flows, approval processes, validation rules, Lightning record pages, and custom objects. Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics that drive decision‑making for our recreational, retail, and residential sales and marketing teams. Own integration touchpoints between Salesforce and adjacent QuadReal systems; partner with Enterprise Architecture and integration teams on design and troubleshooting. Maintain data integrity through regular audits, deduplication, and data‑quality monitoring; partner with business teams on governance. Administer and build configurations across Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and Audience Builder, plus data extensions and the contact data model. Partner with marketing stakeholders to design, implement, and continuously optimise customer journeys, automations, and campaigns. Design segmentation models and audience targeting; manage data extensions, sendable relationships, and contact lists. Develop and maintain automations using Automation Studio and SQL queries to support marketing workflows and operational communications. Monitor deliverability, engagement, and journey performance; surface actionable insights and partner with marketing on optimisation. Act as the primary point of contact for Salesforce and Marketing Cloud users; provide training, build knowledge‑base content, and support adoption. Coordinate with IT teams and third‑party vendors on enhancements, integrations, and incidents while continuing to grow in‑house capability. Support and lead platform initiatives, including onboarding new business units, expanding existing functionality, and rolling out new Marketing Cloud capabilities. Engage directly with business stakeholders to elicit requirements, document user stories, and translate operating needs into platform changes. Run small‑to‑medium platform initiatives end‑to‑end: scoping, planning, build, UAT coordination, deployment, and post‑go‑live support. Operate within QuadReal Corporate Systems' Agile delivery model; participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand‑ups for the Salesforce workstream, and grow into ownership of demand intake and work assignment over time. Partner with Corporate Systems Business Analysts and Project Managers on larger initiatives, owning the Salesforce workstream end‑to‑end. Maintain platform documentation: data dictionary, process flows, configuration decisions, and integration architecture. Learn and contribute to adjacent CRE platforms. Onyx is the immediate priority. Integrate Salesforce with the broader QuadReal application landscape over time. Stay current on Salesforce platform releases (twice annually) and proactively surface relevant capabilities to the team and business. Identify and drive platform optimisation opportunities without prompting: process automation, data hygiene, deprecating unused features, and modernising legacy configurations. Experience and Qualifications 5+ years of hands‑on Salesforce administration and configuration experience in an enterprise workplace, including Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud. Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM‑201), current and in valuable standing. Advanced Administrator (CRT‑211) preferred. Hands‑on Marketing Cloud experience, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio. Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Marketing Cloud Administrator certification preferred. Strong understanding of CRM design patterns, marketing automation, and customer data management, including data model design and governance. Proficiency in building reports, dashboards, Flows, and automations in Salesforce. Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous business problems into platform solutions. Demonstrated business analysis capability: requirements gathering, user‑story authoring, stakeholder facilitation, and UAT coordination. Demonstrated track record as a self‑directed operator who identifies and drives improvements without prompting. Be prepared to discuss specific examples in interview. Strong collaboration and communication skills, comfortable working across IT, business, and vendor teams. Comfortable operating in an Agile delivery environment, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand‑ups. Preferred Skills Working knowledge of Marketing Cloud SQL queries; familiarity with AMPscript and Marketing Cloud REST or SOAP APIs. Knowledge of data integration tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Marketing Cloud Connect, or similar). Background in marketing or experience collaborating with marketing teams. Additional Salesforce certifications (Platform App Builder, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Developer) are a plus. Real estate or property management industry experience is a strong asset, particularly familiarity with sales and marketing operations across consumer‑facing portfolios. Project management experience or formal BA training (CBAP, CSPO, PMP, or equivalent practical experience). Exposure to Onyx, Yardi, or other CRE‑specific platforms. Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud. Light development capability: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL, or willingness to extend in this direction. Experience with ServiceNow as the ITSM platform of record. Benefits and Compensation Salary: $110,000 – $125,000 annualised base. The total rewards package may include a performance‑based incentive plan, comprehensive health and dental benefits, pension plan, and paid time off.
