Job Category: Logistic Number of Positions: 1 The Regional Lead – Transportation (Canada) is responsible for leading and executing outbound transportation operations across Canadian regions. This role ensures safe, compliant, cost‑effective, and reliable transportation services while implementing standardized processes, fleet practices, and performance expectations set at the North American level. The position partners cross‑functionally to support customer service, safety, cost, and business objectives. What you will accomplish with us: Lead outbound transportation operations across assigned Canadian regions Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership and oversight to the team responsible for handling customer service inquiries and issue resolution related to freight movement, delays, and service exceptions Execute standardized transportation processes, KPIs, and operational routines Lead and manage driver workforce to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable transportation execution Oversee regional private fleet execution, including driver scheduling and asset utilization Execute fleet safety, maintenance, and compliance programs per enterprise standards Own and manage regional carrier relationships, ensuring service level adherence, cost control, and issue resolution Maintain responsibility for regional transportation cost performance, supporting budget adherence and P&L; objectives Maintain working knowledge of Canadian Hours of Service (HOS), ELD requirements, commercial licensing, safety‑fitness standards, and record‑keeping Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions in partnership with HR, Safety, Legal, and Fleet leadership Identify routing efficiencies, backhaul opportunities, and asset utilization improvements Monitor regional performance metrics and provide regular reporting to transportation leadership Lead and develop regional transportation teams, establishing standard work and escalation paths Support ERP, TMS, and fleet system execution at the regional level Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Finance, HR, Safety, and Customer Service teams What You Bring to Our Team: Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field with 6–10+ years of relevant transportation or logistics experience OR Equivalent combination of education and 10–15+ years of transportation, fleet, or logistics experience Required Skills & Experience Regional or multi‑site outbound transportation operations experience Private fleet and driver management experience Knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations and driver compliance requirements Strong analytical, operational, and people leadership skills Preferred Experience with ERP, TMS, or fleet management systems Cross‑border U.S.–Canada transportation exposure Manufacturing or distribution workplace experience Key Competencies Operational execution Compliance and safety leadership Data‑driven decision making Cross‑functional collaboration Team development and accountability Competitive Benefits: In addition to a rewarding career within our team, we offer - Medical and dental coverage from day one, along with short and long-term disability protection - Contribution to a collective registered retirement savings plan upon starting your role. - Wellness spending account - An employee assistance program including psychological, financial, and legal support. - Access to telemedicine from the beginning of your employment. - Reimbursement of professional association membership fees. - Early vacation program. - Work–life balance supported through a hybrid work policy.
