E & I - Electrical Rig Foreman - Nisku, AB (Calgary)

Overview Surepoint is currently seeking experienced Journeymen for a Lead/Foreman role building an Electric RIG at the Nisku branch. This rig will be deployed to Australia and will need to meet Australian code requirements. The candidate must maintain a continual focus on safety, cost control, and client satisfaction. Excellent attention to detail, professionalism, courtesy, and the ability to multi‑task are essential. Physical fitness, the ability to travel, and willingness to work extended shift structures are required. Qualifications and Responsibilities Journeyman Electrician Certificate Enforce safety policies, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure PPE is used properly Plan and layout electrical work based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices Ensure installations comply with Australian codes, safety regulations, and quality standards Monitor productivity and quality of crew work Maintain accurate records of materials, labor hours, and progress updates Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve issues promptly Assist in estimating labor and material costs for upcoming work Train and mentor less experienced electricians Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure project timelines and objectives are met Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Computer proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam Revu is an asset Ability to work away from home Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Minimum of 10 years rig experience Minimum of 5 years running jobs Why Join Surepoint?
