Qualifications Arletta Environmental Consulting Corp. is seeking an organized and enthusiastic intermediate to senior Environmental Scientist with a strong field-focus. Job duties will include environmental site assessment, remediation supervision and confirmatory sampling, sample preparation and submission, reclamation site assessments, detailed site assessments, and reclamation field supervision. The successful candidate will be at home on a team of environmental scientists and engineers who share a passion for excellence and a vision of successful site closure. The position will allow for experience and growth to be developed in a variety of land use areas in Western Canada. This role is suited to motivated enthusiastic individuals with a robust technical and field background in site assessment, remediation and reclamation, who seek new challenges and experiences. What You'll Do: As our Environmental Scientist, you will support our Project Managers by acting as lead field for work projects across Western Canada, on everything from Phase 2 ESA drilling and sampling, reclamation and reclamation site assessment, to mentoring more junior staff and supervising subcontractors. Your key responsibilities will include: - Field lead site assessment, remediation, reclamation site assessment, surface reclamation, detailed site assessment, and groundwater monitoring well installation and sampling. - Implementation of our Health & Safety program and oversight of more junior staff and subcontractors. - Track and approve field tickets in Arletta’s project management software and complete daily activity reporting to Project Managers. - Conduct (field and report) Detailed Site Assessments and Reclamation Site Assessments. - Training and mentoring project staff while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices. - Participating in the continuous improvement of our company policies and practices. Qualifications: We are seeking experienced professionals with a degree in Agrology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, or a related field. You should have: - A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Western Canada. - Strong communication, documentation, and technical writing skills. - Expertise in the Oil & Gas closure process (assessment, remediation, reclamation) and the ability to execute field projects efficiently. - Valid Class 5 Drivers License - Commitment to Health & Safety practices. - A desire to learn and grow within the environmental consulting field.
