We have an exciting prospect for a dynamic and passionate individuals to join out PCC Cambridge Team as Aerospace Assembly Technicians. We are looking for Team players who are interested in building and maintaining strong relationships and take pride in their work and accomplishments. As part of the Team, you will have the chance to work on challenging projects, to learn and develop your skill set and have a hand in building the planes that fly our skies. Position Overview: - Perform precision drilling/countersinking on composite and metallic panels, fitting and assembling a variety of detail on parts and panels. Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together. - Mix and apply adhesives per process specifications. Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies. - Perform sub-assembly deburring and subsequent assembly build operations required to completely assemble the finished product to exacting tolerances within 0.001.” - Align, fit, assemble, connect, or install system components and frames, using jigs, fixtures, clamps measuring instruments, hand tools, nut runners and air drills. - Measures parts and features to determine specified dimensions and tolerances, often within +/- 0.001”. - Adjust, repair, rework, or replace structural components, parts and assemblies according to Engineering instructions. - Marks identifying information on parts. - Understand and utilize pick sheets, drawings, work orders, work instructions, graphical models, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and verbal instructions to properly and efficiently assemble all components. - Perform quality work checks, identifies product defects and documents key product and quality parameters. - Use computer systems to track hours worked on orders, record materials used and to access drawings, work instructions and other needed data. - Maintains part preservation during manufacturing and use to ensure no damage. - Provides ad hoc support to our Shipping/Receiving department as needed. Skills and Experience - High school education or equivalent - Preferably 1-2 years+ of experience performing mechanical assembly; - Demonstrated level of intermediate mechanical capabilities/aptitude; - Experience using various hand tools/air tools/power tools and equipment; - Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and results oriented; - Capable of completing assigned tasks according to established written/verbal instructions; - Strong sense of teamwork within within the work cell and across the organization We offer a very competitive compensation package, including retirement savings contributions, a comprehensive benefit plan and quarterly bonus program.
