Automation Designer - Mechanical Co-op (Cambridge)

Job Summary As an Automation Designer – Mechanical Co‑op, this individual will execute projects and create detailed drawings and designs, for industry leading customers in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering team. Job Responsibilities - Create modifications to existing designs based on the engineering assessment of the requirements using SolidWorks. - Prepare drawings from designs and sketches applying ASME Y14.5 and using SolidWorks. - Review drawings for accuracy, correct materials, proper machining techniques, finishes, hardness, etc. and execute necessary changes. - Complete designs based on concepts, sketches and required engineering analysis. - Work and support various projects in multidisciplinary teams including controls software, electrical design, and mechanical assembly. - Participate in design reviews. - Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct. - Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures. Education - Successful completion of 2 semesters from a college or university specializing in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
