Mechanical Designer (Cambridge)

Role: Intermediate Mechanical Designer Type: 6 month contract, extension possible Location: Onsite 5x/week in Cambridge, ON Rate: $40-$45/hr JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Designer to join a leading automation company. The candidate will be joining the mechanical engineering team to assist in designing custom mechanical solutions for their respective clients'. This individual will be responsible for performing engineering calculations, analyzing engineering drawings, producing work drawings, and providing design support related to the construction of industry regulations. This is an extremely hands on position and the candidate will be assigned to a station where they will be responsible for one or more aspects of the automation solution. The candidate must have hands-on experience in automation mechanical design, SolidWorks, and a robust understanding of pneumatics/servo. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - 3+ years experience within Automation Mechanical Design - Strong working experience with pneumatics and/or Servo - Proficient with SolidWorks - Experience with solutions based designing - Post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical design, mechanical engineering or equivalent We may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the screening, assessment, or selection of potential applicants for this position.
