Who You Are - You are a technical salesperson, application specialist, estimator, or project‑minded professional who enjoys solving problems - You can speak with engineers, contractors and owners - You are not afraid of technical details, but you also understand that sales requires urgency, follow‑up, relationships, and judgment - You are likely a strong fit if you: - Enjoy technical products and engineered systems - Can read specifications, schedules, drawings, or mechanical documents and identify what matters - Are comfortable asking good questions when information is incomplete - Can balance accuracy with speed in a bid environment - Understand that customers want both technical confidence and quick responses - Take ownership of work without needing constant direction - Can manage multiple active opportunities at different stages - Are comfortable learning through a mix of formal training, self‑directed research, vendor conversations, internal support, and hands‑on experience - Can stay calm when project details change, timelines compress, or responsibilities overlap What You Will Do - Work with engineers during design and specification - You will support consulting engineers, designers, and other technical stakeholders as they evaluate and specify Summit Water equipment - Support mechanical contractors at bid stage - When a project goes out to tender, you will help contractors understand our scope, pricing, lead times, inclusions, exclusions, and technical fit - Own the project after award - Summit Water expects the Technical Sales Representative to remain involved after the order is received - You will help move the job from purchase order to successful delivery by coordinating details, tracking commitments, communicating with customers, and helping keep the project organized - This post‑award ownership can be challenging. It requires organization, follow‑through, and a willingness to stay accountable after the sale. It is also one of the reasons our customers trust us What Success Looks Like In this role, success is not only measured by sales activity. Success means becoming a trusted technical‑commercial resource for engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal teammates. Required Experience We are looking for someone with several years of relevant experience in a technical role.
