Diesel Mechanic– Heavy Duty Trucks

who will be responsible for repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and all models of trailers to specific customer and industry‑standard specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs on customer vehicles and trailers

Perform basic welding functions

Inform customer/manager of completion times, service expenses, and possible changes

Monitor the profit/loss of each job to maximize profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality; minimize warranty claims and re‑work

Submit work orders for invoicing

Maintain inventory and supplies

Prepare list of required replacement parts

Clean work area as required and maintain equipment; adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards

Qualifications

Two years of diesel mechanic (truck) experience within the heavy‑duty industry

Automotive Service Excellence certification or equivalent

Possess your own tools or willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in skill and responsibilities

Ability to lift part up to 50+ lbs

Valid driver's license and/or CDL with good driving record

Physical Requirements

The work is active

Typically the associate will lift, pull and move heavy duty truck parts that might be in excess of 50 lb

The associate will also have to do the following throughout the day: walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, and pushing

Work Environment

Regular exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, noise and temperature variances

Pay based on experience: $38.00–45.00
