Child caregiver, Cambridge

Position Overview We are seeking a caregiver for an autistic child for 30 hours a week during weekday evenings. The candidate should have a personal support worker certificate or a similar certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Minimum 3 months of experience working with autistic children is preferred. CPR and first aid certificate, vulnerable sector check and valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

Change diapers

Follow parents’ lead with toilet training

Perform light housekeeping

Bathe, dress, and feed the child

Prepare and serve nutritious meals

Supervise and care for children

Take children to and from school and to appointments

Tend to emotional well‑being of the child

Cook child’s meals
