Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Monday and Tuesday 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

The Production Supervisor II is accountable to the Production Manager for the operation of the shift, managing material flow, human resources, documentation flow, and training. The role includes overseeing personnel performance, ensuring efficient equipment operation, and conducting in‑process IPQC testing to meet company objectives and comply with SOPs and GMP.

Responsibilities

Coordinate shift changeover by ensuring: machinery and human resources are optimal and report any deficiencies promptly.

Ensure availability of components and supplies.

Maintain a clean and organized area.

Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and resolve production/output issues.

Monitor job duties to ensure SOPs are followed and activities documented properly; investigate and rectify QA deviations, including revising departmental SOPs and other GMP documents.

Fix documentation errors and coach operators on documentation practices.

Maintain strong cooperation with other departments and participate in cross‑departmental activities.

Act as a resource to educate and train direct reports on the Safety Program and hold employees accountable for safety rules.

Conduct employee relations activities with HR, such as performance reviews, improvement initiatives, disciplinary action, and conflict resolution.

Coordinate new employee training and training requirements, identifying gaps and initiating cross‑training plans.

Drive GMP and regulatory requirements to ensure quality standards are met.

Complete batch record reviews and daily shift reports on output, efficiency, downtime, and other metrics.

Model the company’s mission, vision, values, policies, and business practices.

Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications Education

Degree in a related discipline such as science or engineering.

Formal management or professional studies/training or certification is an asset.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of related experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related environment, with at least 1 year of management experience.

Demonstrated people‑management and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead.

Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and employment legislation such as the Employment Standards Act.

Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make recommendations.

Organizational skills with the ability to manage projects and multiple priorities with minimal direction.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to delegate and work within interdepartmental teams.

Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills.

Must be able to attend all shifts.
