Welder (Cambridge)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our welding team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for quickly welding out already fitted components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical systems, with the ability to operate a range of tools and machinery to ensure high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Perform only MIG carbon welding on various metal parts and assemblies - Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine weld locations and procedures - Operate power tools, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently - Conduct inspections of welds for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards - Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times - Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving construction or manufacturing processes Requirements - Proven experience in MIG welding - Must be previously CWB Certified - Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, assembly, rigging, machining, and blueprint reading - Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and basic math for measurements and calculations - Ability to operate machinery such as crane or forklift when necessary for material handling - Knowledge of welding safety procedures and the ability to work in a manufacturing or construction environment - Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting This position offers an opportunity for skilled welders to contribute their expertise within a energetic manufacturing environment.
