Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining garage doors and openers, ensuring safety and functionality for our clients. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A background in construction or carpentry is preferred, along with familiarity with various hand tools and schematics. The Garage Door Technician plays a vital role in providing high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction through qualified workmanship. Responsibilities - Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards - Use hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and caulking guns to complete installations and repairs - Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects - Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, and safety inspections - Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals - Conduct restoration projects involving garage door components or related systems - Assist with construction painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, or tile laying as needed for custom projects - Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations - Communicate effectively with clients regarding project status and maintenance needs Qualifications - Proven experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, blueprint reading, schematics, or restoration work is highly desirable - Knowledge of garage door systems including springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and openers - Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately - Experience with caulking, welding, plumbing, flooring installation, or tile laying is a plus - Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team environment - Valid license preferred but not required - Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety standards Join our team as a Garage Door Technician where your skills will directly contribute to the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
