Lil’wat Construction Enterprises is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our construction team across several trade and apprentice roles. Successful candidates will work safely, professionally, and collaboratively while contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

This posting is intended to fill

one or more of the following roles , depending on experience and trade interest.

Common Role Elements (All Positions) Core Accountabilities

Working safely and following all health and safety requirements, codes, and site safety plans

Using hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and appropriately

Reading and interpreting basic plans, drawings, or instructions relevant to the role

Assisting with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup

Communicating effectively with supervisors and crew members

Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition

Representing Lil’wat Construction Enterprises in a professional manner

Performing other related duties as assigned

General Requirements

Physically able to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs

Ability to work outdoors, in varying weather conditions

Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Willingness to learn and take direction

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Reliable transportation preferred

BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence and clear driving abstract are assets

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required

Ability to travel as required for training or certification

Role-Specific Responsibilities and Requirements 1. Formwork Carpenter Primary Focus:

Construction, installation, and removal of formwork to support concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Construct, install, align, brace, and dismantle formwork for foundations, walls, columns, slabs, and related structures

Measure, cut, and assemble formwork materials (wood, plywood, or engineered systems)

Ensure formwork is plumb, level, secure, and capable of supporting concrete loads

Work alongside concrete crews during pours

Strip and clean formwork after concrete has cured

Maintain formwork materials and tools

Experience&Attributes:

Previous experience in concrete or formwork construction required

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Strong accuracy, problem‑solving skills, and task sequencing

Comfortable working as part of a crew in active construction environments

2. Carpenter and Maintenance Apprentice Primary Focus:

Learning and assisting across a broad range of carpentry, renovation, concrete, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with framing, finishing, renovations, and basic formwork

Support demolition, installation, and repair tasks

Assist with concrete work, including form setting, pouring, and finishingPerform general labour such as site cleanup and material handling

Complete equipment pre‑trips and support basic equipment maintenance

Experience&Attributes:

Previous construction or labour experience an asset (1,000+ hours preferred)

Registered or interested in a carpentry apprenticeship an asset

Forklift or loader experience an asset

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and build trade skills

3. Apprentice Plumber Primary Focus:

Supporting plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair under the direction of certified plumbers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with installation and repair of water supply, drainage, and plumbing fixtures

Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping materials

Help install sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, and related fixtures

Assist with troubleshooting plumbing issues such as leaks and blockages

Read and interpret basic plumbing drawings and schematics

Experience&Attributes:

Previous labour or construction experience an asset (1,000+ hours preferred)

Plumbing apprenticeship registration or interest an asset

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Comfortable working in confined spaces and active construction sites

Prior experience and trade background

Apprenticeship status or interest

Project needs and operational requirements
