Who We Are We are a leading provider of multi-level training services for Indigenous Communities and Peoples. Our programs include job readiness and employment skills development in tourism, office management, construction, firefighting, Education Assistant (EA), and more. We deliver high-quality training that is culturally safe, inclusive, and focused on empowering individuals and communities. We are seeking experienced Facilitators who are highly motivated, adaptable, and passionate about working with multi-barrier, high-risk, and/or vulnerable communities. This position will primarily support delivery of an Education Assistance (EA) Program in Campbell River, BC. Key Responsibilities - Deliver training programs, workshops, and classes to diverse groups using a trauma informed approach. - Facilitate Education Assistant (EA) curriculum including resume writing, job search support, interview preparation, and employment readiness skills. - Travel extensively, often to remote Indigenous communities, to deliver training. - Create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. - Facilitate group learning activities while providing individualized learner support. - Manage classroom dynamics and ensure effective curriculum delivery. - Apply creativity to classroom management and problem-solving. - Evaluate learners and adjust training approaches as needed. - Communicate regularly with support staff and submit required reports on time. - Work flexible hours to meet the needs of learners and communities. - Develop and deliver supplementary materials to enhance learning. - Act and dress professionally, modelling positive behavior. - Attend all professional development and training seminars in Port Coquitlam. Desired Qualities, Skills, and Abilities - Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and professionalism. - Strong facilitation and communication skills. - Excellent time management and organizational abilities. - Ability to provide constructive feedback and manage classroom behaviors. - Prior classroom management experience is required. - Effective project management and adaptability to change. - Collaborative team player with a commitment to excellence. Knowledge (or Willingness to Acquire) - Indigenous history, traditions, protocols, and worldviews. - Understanding of intergenerational trauma and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action. - Facilitator must enroll in the Education Assistant Certificate program as soon as possible and remain at least one semester ahead of students; certification costs will be covered by the employer. - Employment readiness and career coaching skills (resume writing, job search, interview prep). - Grief healing processes and resiliency practices. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office. - Education Assistant Certificate Requirements - Minimum 5 years of experience as a successful trainer/facilitator working with adult learners. - Experience facilitating Education Assistant (EA) or similar employment readiness programming is considered an asset. - Education Assistant credentials or related certifications are considered an asset. - Proven experience working with Indigenous communities is considered an asset. - Adult education experience and strong learner-centered facilitation approach. - Strong communication and writing skills in English. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Valid B.C. driver’s license and reliable vehicle. - Willingness and ability to travel extensively for work. - Experience preparing reports, correspondence, and presentations. - Ability to facilitate learning for multi-skill and multi-age groups. Qualifications - Degree in Education, Adult Learning, or related field. - Qualified Instructor Diploma or comparable facilitation certification. - Trauma Informed Approach Certification. - Combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
