49 North Helicopters is looking for an aircraft maintenance engineer at our Campbell River Base on Vancouver Island. Responsibilities Tasks Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety Troubleshoot aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems to identify problems and adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing maintenance, repair and overhaul to ensure adherence to standards and procedures Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systems Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning, and reassemble Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing modification of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures Perform and document routine maintenance Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies Interpret blueprints/specifications/standards and written technical instructions Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses AME «M» Licence - Aircraft Experience and specialization Aircraft experience Medium turbine helicopter Small piston helicopter Small turbine helicopter Type of industry experience Commercial air carrier General aviation Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization Piston engines Turbine engines Additional information Transportation/travel information Valid driver's licence Own transportation Work conditions and physical capabilities Attention to detail Personal suitability Accurate Dependability Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Initiative Judgement Reliability Team player Benefits Health perks Dental plan Health care plan Long term perks Group insurance advantages Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40.00-$65.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pmwvg
