Procurement Agent (Transactional Buyer), Candiac

We are seeking a procurement agent (Transactional Buyer) to join out team

Salary: $34,62 $ /hr

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type: Permanent, full-time.

Responsibilities
• Analyze procurement needs based on production requirements and inventory levels.
• Place orders with selected suppliers and track execution to ensure on-time delivery and product compliance.
• Manage supplier relationships by resolving any issues that arise and fostering effective collaboration.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid stockouts while minimizing holding costs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes by proposing optimization initiatives and implementing strategic purchasing practices.
• Manage material shipments for transformation operations performed by subcontractors (plating, anodizing, heat treatment, electropolishing).

Job Requirements:
- Language Skills: French and English
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: 24 months of experience in procurement, logistics, supplier management, or administrative operations coordination.

Technical Skills Required:
- Proficiency in ERP software (or ERP systems management);
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings (or blueprints);
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and machined components.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
