Key Responsibilities - Work closely with Maintenance Planners to execute scheduled maintenance activities - Prioritize field repairs based on operational needs and project timelines - Coordinate equipment servicing between job sites, shops, and external vendors - Monitor equipment condition and performance across multiple project sites - Conduct field inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns - Ensure proper use and care of equipment by operators - Enforce company safety policies and procedures across all maintenance activities - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manufacturer guidelines - Conduct toolbox talks and promote a solid safety culture on job sites - Act as a liaison between field operations, maintenance teams, and leadership - Provide regular updates on equipment status, breakdowns, and repair timelines - Maintain accurate service records and field reports - Assist with coordinating parts, tools, and equipment required for field repairs - Work with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials - Identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs - Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and best practices - Assist in developing standard operating procedures and maintenance documentation Qualifications - Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance, with supervisory experience preferred - Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction equipment (e.g., excavators, dozers, loaders, trucks) - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based environment with multiple priorities - Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices - Trade certification (e.g., Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent) - Experience working in heavy civil, mining, or construction environments - Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) Why Join Us? - Competitive salary and benefits - A collaborative and agile work environment - Career growth and development opportunities EEO Statement JCL Investments Inc is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive culture which promotes gender equity and the recruitment of all under-represented groups at all levels of its workforce.
