Building Maintenance Worker in Sydney

Ensure the upkeep of funeral home facilities as a Building Maintenance Worker in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Conduct maintenance and landscaping tasks to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

This role focuses on both interior and exterior building maintenance at funeral home locations. You will perform tasks such as painting, unclogging drains, and repairing lighting. Experience in handyman, painting, and plumbing duties is preferred to ensure quality maintenance and groundskeeping, as well as compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:• Conduct general interior and exterior maintenance tasks • Maintain landscaping and ensure debris-free grounds • Diagnose and recommend repairs or outside vendors • Clean and maintain handyman tools and equipment • Load and unload caskets as required

Requirements:• High school education or GED required • Trade school experience preferred • Handyman or painting experience desired • Ability to operate hand-held tools safely • Must be able to lift 75 pounds
