Description
Well Initiatives Limited, a subsidiary of R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited, is looking for an Assistant Well Technician to join our team in Palmerston, Ontario. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys outdoor work, working with equipment, and being part of a team that supports groundwater and water well services across Ontario. Based out of our Palmerston office and working primarily in the field, this position offers the opportunity to build technical skills in a growing industry while maintaining a schedule with minimal weekend or overnight work. What you’ll do: - Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, with some office/shop work; - Safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.; - Assist with aquifer pumping tests; - Assist with pump installations; - Install data loggers; - Collect, organize, and maintain field data; - Participate in health and safety programs and procedures; and - Support other related duties as required. What you’ll bring: - Experience in water wells, groundwater services, or environmental consulting is an asset; - Familiarity with Ontario Water Well Regulation 903 is an asset; - A Well Technician Licence would be considered an asset; - Mechanical, electrical, or plumbing aptitude is an asset; - Experience with heavy equipment, hydraulics, well drilling systems, or pumping equipment is an asset; - Solid time management and organizational skills; - Basic computer skills are an asset; - A valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence; - Proof of a clean driver’s abstract will be required; - Willingness to obtain a DZ licence; training will be provided; - Flexibility to work overtime when required; and - Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with minimal weekend or overnight work.
