School Custodian (Day Position) (Arthur)

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm from Monday to Friday (40 hours per week) Candidate should be; Mature, reliable, punctual, hard-working and physically fit. Must possess cleaning experience + the ability to work independently and as a team member. The role also requires a fair amount of interaction with other school staff members. A vulnerable sector police background check is a mandatory requirement prior to employment and work & safety training will be provided. Candidate must live in close proximity to Arthur. Steel toe/non-slip shoes are required and company shirts will be provided. Job Description; -Sweeping, wet mopping, dusting, auto scrubbing halls, disinfecting desks/tables & high touch point areas, cleaning windows, bathrooms, classrooms, offices, staff room, library, gym, etc. Some heavy lifting is required. Candidate will shovel + salt all entranceways each morning in the wintertime. The desired candidate will also fill out facility logs, submit work orders, re-stock school supplies/equipment + open the school and deactivate the alarm each day.
