Job Description Yearly salary starting at $100,000. The Maintenance Supervisor is a crucial key member of Techo-Bloc’s Chambly facility. Overseeing the plant’s inventory, machinery and repairs, they are a champion of safety, training and preventive, corrective and continuous improvement maintenance interventions. We are looking for a highly motivated leader with a strong work ethic and a go-getter, self-starter attitude who is constantly looking to challenge the status quo and lead multiple projects that will help further Techo-Bloc's drive to progress and innovate. Responsibilities - Utilize your extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts to oversee the facility plant, repairs and various maintenance projects; - Manage the maintenance team members (electromechanics, electric specialist, parts store clerk), allocate tasks to them and ensure their timely completion; - Perform the planning and scheduling activities for corrective and preventive maintenance work orders to improve uptime; - Receive and respond to facility work orders. Determine root cause, best course of action and clearly communicate plans to maintenance team; - Lead complex industrial troubleshooting through planning and execution in both mechanical and electrical breakdowns; - Forecast material requirements so that the maintenance team always has access to spare parts in order to perform preventive tasks; - Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on production machinery, tools, etc.; - Track inventory, repairs, and facility equipment by working with the store personnel; - Professionally develop our maintenance team by offering training and guidance on equipment, safety, processes, etc.; - Support maintenance technicians, working side‑by‑side with floor associates; - Intervene and recommend appropriate solutions to complex and new problems; - Spend 70% of time on the shop floor, not in the office; - Work in a Monday to Friday full-time position, with flexibility for nights, weekends, etc. when needs demand. Qualifications Your Experience - College diploma in a related field (DEC in industrial mechanics or Industrial Electrical Technician diploma); - 7 years of experience in personnel management in a manufacturing organization; - Robust familiarity with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, and mechanics; - Electrical experience in PLCs and plant automation; - Team Management; Ability to mentor and train others in both mechanical and electrical aspects. Required Skills - Availability to work outside of regular business hours; - Creative problem solver, investigating issues to solve them; - Technical-minded; expertise allows correct judgment calls and solutions; - Excellent interpersonal skills, maintaining grace under pressure and calm during unanticipated problems; - Time-management focused; skilled at managing time to meet deadlines; - Experience with Microsoft Office tools, ERP systems, and strong Excel acumen; - Strong success track record of planning, organizing, implementing, and inspiring adoption of programs, processes, etc.; - Dedication to proactive thinking, collaboration and communication; - Knowledge of the Office Suite, Microsoft AX (asset); - Thrives in a fast-paced team environment and results oriented; - Bilingual (English required in order to service our customers and suppliers based in the United States and outside Quebec). Physical Demands This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand‑eye coordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking are required.
