Baker Summerside

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join our team and help produce a variety of high‑quality baked goods. In this role, you will prepare different types of bread, pastries, and specialty items while maintaining consistent quality and presentation standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about baking, comfortable working early mornings, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting. Baked goods are prepared daily on site from scratch - relevant from scratch baking experience is necessary! 5 shifts/week - 3am - 11am Responsibilities Open the bakery early each morning and prepare the workspace Mix dough for breads, rolls, and specialty baked goods Prepare fillings, toppings, and a wide range of pastries Operate baking equipment safely and efficiently Monitor product quality, freshness, and consistency Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area Assist with inventory management and ingredient rotation Collaborate with the team to develop recent products when needed Requirements Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook required Strong understanding of baking techniques and food safety Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required Positive time‑management and multitasking skills Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for quality Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits: Casual dress Discounted or free food On-site parking Store discount Experience: Baking: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: Food Safety Certificate (preferred) WHIMIS (preferred) Location: Summerside, PE C1N 0A6 (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pgc6l
