Heavy Equipment Operator, Grand Tracadie

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment on our work sites.

REPORTS TO: This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operating heavy equipment including but not limited to: Skid steer, bulldozer, backhoe, septic pump truck and excavator.

Safety Compliance

Equipment Maintenance

Work site preparation which may include clearing debris, leveling terrain, and digging

Material handling, loading and unloading materials

Grade and Excavation work

Documentation– Keeping accurate records such as equipment usage, maintenance logs and safety inspections.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Class 3 with Airbrake

5+ years’ experience

Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.

Safe lifting (up to 50 lbs), kneeling, pushing, pulling and stretching are all required.

Must have reliable transportation.
