Maritime Electric Company, Limited, is seeking candidates for the position of Temporary Customer Service Representative (14 to 16-Month Term) Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the Maritime Electric Contact Centre located in Charlottetown. You will serve customers by: Job Description Communicating products and service information; Processing applications for current or changed products and services; Arranging for disconnections and reconnections; Receiving payments for products and services; and Resolving customer product or service needs. You will be responsible for: Providing information about electrical services; Processing applications for electricity; and Handling payments and resolving customer issues. This is a temporary fourteen to sixteen month position in Customer Service. Requirements As a qualified candidate, you will hold a relevant Social Science degree such as Business Administration, Education or a two-year diploma in a field directly related to customer service. You have a minimum of two years experience working in a customer service-related field and will have demonstrated excellence in delivering quality customer service. You are comfortable with using various computer software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, and are quick to learn current programs. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills and be able to effectively interact with customers. Bilingualism would be considered an asset. Rate of pay: Your rate of pay will be $32.62 per hour representing 90% of the full rate of pay in the Collective Agreement on January 1, 2026.
