Description
Senior Software Quality Engineer – Finance Domain Responsibilities Design, execute, and oversee complex test strategies. Plan and design tests, set up test environments, and prepare test data. Manage defects and configuration throughout the lifecycle. Work with SQL-based databases (Microsoft SQL, Snowflake, PostgreSQL) including creation of stored procedures, views, and tables. Test Master Data Management (MDM) systems and run tests against large datasets. Perform first‑level troubleshooting of defects for root‑cause analysis. Use Unix command line to access logs and manipulate files. Monitor application logs and investigate system behavior with AWS tools (S3, Secrets Manager) and cost models. Resolve technical issues, coordinate with Development and cross‑functional teams, and secure appropriate sign‑off. Publish results, maintain detailed status reports, and monitor all defects. Work with workflow schedulers (AutoSys, Airflow, Stonebranch UAC). Write scripts in Python or a similar language. Track defects through the bug life cycle. Understand data culture, backend validation, and impact on UI workflows. Communicate test progress, results, and relevant information to project managers throughout the project lifecycle, applying Agile methodology. Provide daily test metrics and support after‑hours release checkout as required. Apply test automation for large data projects (additional advantage: familiarity with Alteryx, Informatica, or DBT). Use source‑control tools such as Bitbucket. Qualifications 7–9 years of software quality assurance or testing experience. Experience in financial services or asset‑management industry (preferred). Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and EPM (preferred). Bachelor of Technology (BTech) or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree. Strong communication skills and willingness to raise concerns that introduce risk. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lead and contribute to departmental initiatives and resolve conflicts. Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment Full‑time employee, exempt. You will be expected to work at least four full days per week in an Invesco office while maintaining flexibility for hybrid arrangements. The role may involve overlapping shifts with Eastern time zone, up to 11EST, and occasional after‑hours support for post‑production releases. Salary $100,000 – $110,000 per year, plus incentive pay and benefits.
